015 - Something Stirring In The Mud!

We are renewed! 

After a month of positive support from Mudders (including cash!) and some
quick-thinking local organisations (including funding!) HumberMUD has shown itself
to be a highly desirable asset!

Many thanks to MAPA Ltd and Engage Now Ltd for their immediate response.

Hull College has stepped up big style!

And a fantastic response from City Arts at Hull City Council has given us all a real
boost!

It has been very reassuring to discover that our creative industries sector is
appreciated after all and the work of HumberMUD volunteers, members and committee is
recognised as the type of progress we need in the region.

Colleagues on the South Bank are also showing the way. If you are linked to our
Twitter feed you will know that this HumberMUD event is going from strength to
strength - starting to bring people together on a useful regular basis.

Gareth Sleightholme - A mud regular, Gareth has had  over 15 years experience in a
number of industries & markets. Primarily an illustrator he has diversified into
areas including corporate interiors for events and theming design for exhibition,
museums, visitor attractions & film interiors. He has experience of hands-on
production of Historical Illustration, Graphic Design for display & print, and is
now freelancing for the visitor attraction and heritage industry.

Ray Duff - local web! That's how it all started but have we lost our way. Find out
how this hyperlocal website for Hedon flourishes.Ray will talk about this successful
project which is becoming something of a 'campaigning' presence for the town. Also
about the evolving  process of moving the site in order to 'monetize' the venture.

MUD founder Mal Williamson has stepped away from leading the organisation but stays
on the committee.  This committee is meeting regularly and consolidating the future.
Expect more changes now that HumberMUD can begin to plan properly with this renewed support from brilliant local organisations!
