First Humbermud Expo! A Success
Organisers have hailed the inaugural humberMUD Expo! a big success. The four-day programme included six diverse events aimed at different audiences.
Those events included a sell-out Old Technologies Ball that transformed former warehouse FRuIT into a spectacular dinner dance venue, with live jazz from the Lyn Acton Trio, gramophone DJs It's A Wind Up, food by Fudge and an exhibition of historic computer equipment.
The previous night, a totally different crowd experienced the Home Sweet Home audio-visual extravaganza and live DJ sets.
humberMUD chair Mal Williamson said: “We're delighted with the way that our first expo has gone. The four days celebrated the work of media and creative business in Hull and the Humber, some business was done and we provided a feast of entertainment, education and networking opportunities.

“We're already looking ahead to 2011 and the many talented people working in the fields of media, usability and design in this area joining our growing membership.”
Other events on the programme included a conference that looked at how the media and education sectors can work together, a trade exhibition, film-screenings and the regular humberMUD networking and knowledge sharing evening.
The regular humberMUD night will continue to take place on the third Thursday of the month. For more information visit www.humbermud.com or email mediausabilitydesign@gmail.com
