June Mud This Thursday

humberMUD takes place on Thursday, June 23 at Fruit, Humber Street, Hull and will include our usual heady mix of speakers, presentations, networking and all-round good vibes. Speakers include Dave Lee, who will screen his new film all about the Humber Bridge, which is voiced by one of the city's most famous sons - Sir Tom Courtenay. Dave will explain his filmmaking process and how Sir Tom got involved.

Home Sweet Home's After Effects and Resolume expert Tom Watkins (aka Eye Saw and FIT) will demonstrate his flair for motion graphics and will also show how he combines music videos and visuals with his DJ sets.

Local production company Jay Jay Media will screen the trailer for their latest DVD project, a live music venture that is currently outselling Bruce Springsteen.

There will also be a must-see, unique exploration of Fruit's versatility as a space for all kinds of performances.

If you are involved in the creative and media sectors and want to share your projects and news you will also be more than welcome to take the floor. We are especially interested in hearing what the region's talented web designers and developers are up to.

The evening will also provide a lot of opportunities for networking, socialising and drinking at Fruit's licensed bar and presentations will be followed by music and chat.

Admission is FREE from 6.30pm for a 7pm start.
